You may be wondering why the first section in your organizational behavior text is focused on management theory. Like most modern-day theories and ideologies, organizational behavior has evolved over time as people adapt to changes in society. In order to understand organizational behavior, we must first understand management theory and how the people before us used these theories to guide and direct formal organizations to be more successful.
