However, one organization dedicated to promoting the positive value of ethical business practice is the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ethisphere.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ethisphere Institute<\/a>.\r\n\r\nEach year since 2007, the institute has recognized top-performing companies after measuring their ethical performance against standards set for the following criteria:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Ethics and compliance program<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Corporate citizenship and responsibility<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Culture of ethics<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Governance<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Leadership, innovation and reputation.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nThe 3M Corporation has been at the top of the list in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2020. For example: how does 3M\u2019s \u201cReport a Violation\u201d program align with whistleblower protections described in the reading?\r\n\r\nSelect and thoroughly study at least three 3M programs that align with concepts and programs found in the module reading.\r\n\r\nWrite a three-paragraph (minimum) memo addressed to current 3M CEO Inge Thulin congratulating him for specific programs and ethical performance that earned 3M the Ethisphere award.\r\n\r\nIf you\u2019re not familiar with a Memo style, you can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/courses.lumenlearning.com\/technicalwriting\/chapter\/unit-2_memos_readings-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">view a sample memo here<\/a>.
