Some people excited at the prospect of working with a group of people. To them, the back-and-forth of ideas in the collaborative process seems energizing and worthwhile. Others cringe at the thought of group work. They prefer to work independently and not to rely on others. Whether you thrive in a small-group setting or prefer to work alone, there are times when a project needs to be tackled by a group. Especially with some groundwork in place, this group project can be a motivating and productive experience. In this module, we’ll look at how groups work and offer some strategies to make teamwork more effective, efficient, and enjoyable.
