Monsieur Periné — La tienda de sombreros
Monsieur Periné is a Bogotá-based musical ensemble from Colombia with an Afro-Colombian sound that mixes Latin and European flavors. Their style mixes elements of cumbia, tango, danzón, bolero and pop music, according to the San Diego Union Tribune. At the Latin Grammy Awards, the ensemble was named best new artist of 2015. We will also learn about the weather in this module which is useful when you talk to other people. Instead of just saying it’s “hot” or “cold” when somebody asks you about the weather, you can get very descriptive. For example, in the video below pay attention to the image chosen for the song playing. Is the image clear, or is it blurry? Is it dark or bright? What emotions can you feel with the music? Now, read the title. Can guess what it means?
