In this module, we will learn how to describe what we like to do in our free time! This will, of course, include a lot of verbs. Think about what you like to do when you have free time. Do you sleep in? Go out to eat? Play sports? Watch TV? All of these are verbs! They are also topics that we are very likely to talk about in our day to day life.
Read the following conversation:
Ana: Hola, Juan. ¿Qué quieres hacer hoy?
Juan: Hola, Ana. Hoy quiero jugar al futból con mis amigos. ¿Y tú?
Ana: Yo voy de compras con mi hermana. Me gusta comprar ropa nueva.
Juan: ¿Dónde vas de compras? ¿Al centro comercial?
Ana: Sí, hay muchas tiendas con ropa bonita.
Juan: ¡Que lo pases bien!
Juan and Ana are able to talk about what they like to do by using the verb gustar, which we will also learn in this section. People love to talk about what they like and enjoy doing. Finally, we will learn to talk about how we do things using adverbs.

We will learn adverbs with the suffix or ending -mente. Adverbs in English end in –ly and modifies or quantifies verbs. For example, the word rápidamente is rapidly in English. Another example is the title of the song below:
