Why It Matters: ¿Cómo son las personas de tu familia?

In this module we’ll think about domestic spaces, learning the vocabulary of family relations as well as the words for various rooms and furniture.

Up until now, we’ve only learned one of the two words for “to be” (ser). So we could say “I am a kitchen,” but not “I am in the kitchen.” In this module, we’ll learn another word for “to be”: estar. We’ll use estar to talk about being in a location and, as we’ll see in the next module, to describe emotions.

As always, here’s a playlist to get in the right place to work with estar.
