Gram\u00e1tica:\u00a0Verbos regulares con \u2013AR<\/h3>\r\nIn Spanish, the conjugation of a regular verb depends on the ending of its infinitive. (The infinitive is the basic form of the verb that you find in the dictionary; for example, English infinitives are always written with\u00a0to<\/i>, like the verbs\u00a0to run<\/i>\u00a0or\u00a0to speak<\/i>. Click here to read more about infinitives in English<\/a>.)\r\n\r\nUnlike English, Spanish verbs conjugate depending on the person; that is, they change depending on who is being talked about. This occurs in the English verb to be (e.g. I am, you are, he is, etc.) but in Spanish this occurs for all persons in all verbs (click here to learn more about verb conjugation in English<\/a>).\r\n\r\nAll Spanish infinitives end in the letter\u00a0r<\/i>, and the three regular conjugation patterns are classified into\u00a0-ar<\/i>,\u00a0-er<\/i>, and\u00a0-ir<\/i>\u00a0verbs. We'll learn about -er<\/em> and -ir<\/em> verbs in the next chapter. For now, let's look at the -ar<\/em> verbs.\r\n\r\nRegular verbs ending in \u2013AR are conjugated in the present tense by removing the -AR infinitive ending and adding one of the following personal endings:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
