Introduction to ¿Te pusiste contento o furioso?

Did you get annoyed when you found out that some verbs have irregular stems and endings in the preterit? Probably not, because by now you’ve become a master of the irregular preterit. Just like English, Spanish has a number of ways to say “become”: to get annoyed, to become a master. As you’ll see in this section, Spanish has some distinctions around the verb “to become” that might be new to you. Don’t worry, though: once you get used to them, you’ll realize they’re not so complicated after all. (We’ll also cover the verb “to realize” in the section ahead).
