Week 12 Overview

What You’ll Learn To Do: Articulate What Makes a Population Diverse and What Effects Such Diversity Has

Our e-book discusses many types of diversity and how understanding it allows for a greater appreciation of one another’s opinions, values, and actions. We live in an increasingly diverse world, which makes learning about diversity important not only in the classroom, but also once you enter the workforce. Some of the different kinds of diversity include race, ethnicity, culture, and religion; politics; gender and sexual orientation; age or generation; personality types and learning styles; and extra-curricular activities.

After you have completed this topic’s activities, you should be able to:

  • Articulate ways individuals are diverse.
  • Explain how diversity impacts society.
