Is human nature good or bad?

We have read and been exposed to theories about human nature in this course, most of them suggesting that human nature is weak and base.

Knowing that you have had only a limited exposure, what impact would you say that the negative views about human nature would have on:

• Relationships (spouse, child, parent)
• Politics
• Religion
• World View in general

Be specific with respect to points of view. It may be that some perspectives influence some aspect of society but not others – or are perspectives so pervasive that it is hard to even have a counter point of view (if most people believe human nature to be bad in early Western Civilization, how could a person even carry a positive view?

Support your position with at leas three reference from the course or other scholarly or scientific sources that discuss this issue. You must include a “Works Cited” list.
