An interview summary is a way for students to practice reported speech and paraphrasing.  

Directions for Interview Summary:

• Students interview a classmate, friend or family member.
  • Students prepare and ask approximately 10-15 questions
  • Students should take notes during the interview
• Students summarize the interview and present in class or prepare an audio or video recording
  • Provide background information about the person interviewed
  • Present the main idea and key details of the interview
  • Explain the theme (lesson or big message of the interview
