Thank you for joining in the effort to use, expand, and share OER Physics materials! We hope the following resources and ideas will help you in your own efforts to adopt or adapt OER for your courses.

We invite you to share in the collaboration and wisdom-sharing of the OER community. Slack is a free, easy-to-use tool for communication and collaboration. It offers channels for group conversations on specific topics, including Science-Natural and Physics.
You can also send direct messages to individuals or groups. Use it from any computer or mobile device.
Resources
Lumen Courses
Lumen currently only offers one physics template course. This can serve as the starting point for your own development. You can remix and adapt anything from the course below quite easily.
Physics Courses
- Physics (for Non-Majors): This course covers the standard topics of a two-semester algebra-based physics course.
- Physics for Majors Volumes 1–3: This three volume collection of calculus-based physics covers a wide spread of topics. These volumes are currently under development.
There are also algorithmic physics questions available in Lumen’s MyOpenMath, an online math education system. You can visit the site to request an instructor account and access the questions.
ATD Information
This section provides support for faculty and course developers involved with the Achieving the Dream OER Degree Initiative.
Currently 5 institutions have included physics courses in their course plans.
Collaboration Meetings
Lumen is hosting Collaboration meetings to help bring faculty together as they work on developing their courses. The next meeting for Physics will be on Tuesday, February 7 at 8:30 a.m. (PT)/11:30 a.m. (ET). Meetings are hosted in Uber Conference. The meeting can be found at https://www.uberconference.com/vallerie, or you can call in at 1-503-994-6403. No PIN is needed to join the call.
