Assignment #1

Scenario:

You bought a new car in September 2013. Ten months later, July 2014, the car had been in the shop 3 times, once for a transmission malfunction, once for the paint fading, and once for the breaks failing. Now, you can feel that the transmission may be slipping.

 

Activity:

Using a fictitious Car Company and address, write a Claim Letter that addresses the above rationale. Use a block style format.

The grade will be based on using the correct paragraph arrangement and content for a Claim Letter.

Assignment #2

Scenario:

The car company received your claim letter (as in Assignment #1) and researched your records. They discovered that when you bought your car in September 2013, you bought a car that was previously used by the dealership as demonstration model and had been driven for 5000 miles at the time of purchase. Therefore, the car had a limited warranty, for 6 months, which expired in March 2014.

Activity

Using the same fictitious Car Company and address as in Assignment #1, write a Negative Adjustment Letter that addresses the above rationale to deny the claim. Use a block style format.

The grade will be based on using the correct paragraph arrangement and content for a Negative Adjustment Letter.

Assignment #3

Scenario:

Your company was the recipient of 3 full scholarships from a foundation, for three of your employees to earn their Associate Degrees in ______ (you identify degree). 

Activity:

1. Create a company, foundation, and other related information.   

2. Write a Thank You letter to the foundation, thanking them for the scholarships. 

Use a block style format.  

The grade will be based on using the correct paragraph arrangement and content for a Thank You Letter.
