What you’ll learn to do: explain the value of utilizing research questions to learn more about historical topics
Most classes, history classes included, involve a research project. The type of project can vary. One instructor might require a traditional research paper, and another might expect a poster presentation. Still another class might require you to create a video or podcast. Whatever the class, and whatever the assignment, the first step in crafting a successful research project is establishing the research question.
In this Historical Hack, we will learn what a research question is and why it is so important. We will explore the differences between a “good” research question and a “bad” one. We will learn to craft a research question and how to begin a major research project.
