In this lesson, you will learn…

A variety of words and expressions such as:

  • verbos como gustar
  • los deberes de la casa
  • la casa
  • los muebles y objetos

You will also learn the following grammar tools:

  • more verbs that function like gustar
  • the uses of hay que, es necesario, necesitar/tener que/deber + infinitivo
  • direct object pronouns
  • how to make comparisons with más/menos que, or tan/tanto como

These words, expressions and grammar tools enable you to do the following in Spanish:

  • to express many different emotional reactions to things, such as what makes you or others angry, worried, or happy
  • to describe houses and apartments, including what is in the space, and how to take care of it
  • to make comparisons, and thus better express your opinions
  • to share information about your obligations, as well as your preferences

As well, you will also learn about culture. In this lesson you will read about:

  • Ecuador and its rich biodiversity
  • the famous architect Antoni Gaudí
  • architecture in Mexico, and how it has changed over time.
