  • deportes
  • pasatiempos

You will also learn the following grammar tools:

  • indirect object pronouns
  • the conjugation of gustar
  • the conjugations and meanings of saber and conocer
  • several stem-changing verbs, such as almorzar, querer and pedir

These words, expressions and grammar tools enable you to do the following in Spanish:

  • to converse about things you and others like
  • to talk about people and places you are familiar with, or know
  • as you learn more and more verbs, obviously you can talk about many more types of actions and activities

As well, you will also learn about culture. In this lesson you will read about:

  • Colombia, and several of this country’s most prominent writers, including Gabriel García Márquez
  • the importance of telenovelas in popular culture
