ESC has a number of resources to help you consider, identify, and evaluate knowledge you’ve gained on your own, outside of traditional academic settings.
- Some of the resources are competency-based, which means that they ask you to exhibit your knowledge as you answer each question.
- Others take a more explanatory approach and suggest different topics of knowledge that you might want to include in your credit request.
Note that whatever type of guide you use, the idea is to use it to help reflect on and articulate what you have learned.
Worksheet
You may want to download and use the following worksheet, which is based on the areas in the Global Learning Qualifications Framework, to further refine your thinking and develop the raw material needed to eventually draft a credit request.
